Do water filters remove lead?
Yes, many water filters are designed to remove lead from drinking water, including the Alchemy® Water Pitcher. However, some are more effective than others. Filters that use advanced filtration technologies such as ultrafiltration and activated carbon remove lead and other contaminants such as VOCs, chlorine and bacteria. Our Alchemy® Water Pitcher gets rid of 99.99% of heavy metals.
Do water filters remove microplastics?
Raw, untreated tap water contains around 4.9 microplastics per litre. Water filters can remove microplastics, but their effectiveness can vary. Filters with membrane technology (such as reverse osmosis or ultrafiltration), or carbon block or ceramic filters are most effective.

When do I change the filter?
Change the filter every six months or so. The ALCHEMY® Automatic Water Filter Pitcher features an indicator, so it will notify you when it's time to replace the filter. Always use genuine PIURIFY filters for optimal results.

How do I clean my hydrogen water pitcher?
Our ALCHEMY® Automatic Water Filter Pitcher is not machine washable. Clean the water tank once a week with warm, soapy water and the brush provided. If you don't use the water inside the pitcher, drain it after a week and store it in the fridge. Avoid using solvents such as alcohol to clean the pitcher.
