Hydrogen Water Tablets, Cans or a Bottle: What a Glass Really Costs
Three ways to drink hydrogen water, one honest comparison. Pick a bottle, move the sliders and see your cost per glass.
Based on 90¢ per tablet and $2.63 per can or pouch (median prices checked Oct 17, 2026). Bottle: $130 for the 10 oz bottle. One glass = one tablet, one can, or one fill of the bottle (about 280 mL).

How we estimate these figures
- One glass = one serving the way each product is meant to be used: one tablet dissolved in 12 to 16 oz of water, one can or pouch (12 oz to 500 mL), or one fill of the bottle you pick.
- Tablets: $0.90 per tablet. The median of the lowest per-tablet price offered by five US tablet brands, including subscriptions and multi-packs. Most brands direct one tablet per serving.
- Cans and pouches: $2.63 each. The median of the lowest per-unit price offered by four US brands, including subscriptions and multi-packs.
- Piurify bottles: today's price, paid once, plus electricity estimated at well under a tenth of a cent per cycle. Assumes one bottle for the whole period. Our lifetime limited warranty covers manufacturing defects, not normal wear and tear.
- Per-ounce check: a tablet serving uses more water than a 10 oz bottle fill. Counted per 8 oz, tablets come to about 45¢ to 60¢, against 8¢ for the bottle you picked at these settings.
- Excludes shipping, sales tax and one-off promotions. Tablet and can prices checked October 17, 2026; prices change.
The price on the box tells only half the story. Tablets and cans are paid for glass by glass, again and again. A rechargeable bottle is paid for once. Which one costs less depends on how often you drink it, and that's what the calculator above shows.
Hydrogen Tablets vs Cans vs a Rechargeable Bottle, Side by Side
Tablets
Drop one in a glass of water and wait for it to dissolve.
Cans and pouches
Ready to drink, delivered in cases.
Rechargeable bottle
Fill it with water, press a button, drink it fresh.
What the Calculator Doesn't Show
A fair comparison should be clear about its limits:
- This compares cost, not effect. Tablets, cans and bottles list different hydrogen concentrations, measured in different ways, and some tablets list a higher figure than a single bottle cycle. A cheaper glass isn't automatically a better one, and a pricier one isn't either.
- Freshness matters. Hydrogen starts leaving water as soon as it's exposed to air; tablet and pouch makers' own directions say to drink within 20 to 30 minutes. A bottle makes it on demand, right before you drink.
- The bottle needs a routine. You fill it, press a button, wait 5 to 20 minutes depending on the program, and charge it regularly. Tablets and cans don't ask for any of that.

Hydrogen Water Cost: Quick Answers
Are hydrogen water tablets cheaper than a hydrogen water bottle?
Not if you drink hydrogen water every day. Tablets cost about 90¢ a glass, every glass, while the Piurify 10 oz bottle costs $129.99 once, plus well under a tenth of a cent of electricity per cycle. At two glasses a day, the bottle costs less than tablets after about 2 months; at one glass a day, after about 5 months. Tablets stay cheaper only if you drink hydrogen water now and then.
Why not compare hydrogen levels instead?
Because brands state them differently. Tablets often list 10 ppm or more for a 500 mL serving, cans list a few ppm or nothing at all, and none of the tablet or can pages we checked linked a hydrogen lab report. Our numbers come from third-party lab reports (H2 Analytics, paid for by Piurify): 4,090 PPB after one 10-minute cycle on the 10 oz and up to 6,300 PPB after three cycles back to back, and up to 9,970 PPB after 40 minutes of back-to-back cycles on the 17 oz.
Does charging the bottle add much?
Very little. We estimate well under a tenth of a cent per cycle at average US electricity rates, and the calculator includes it.
How long does a bottle last?
That depends on how you use and care for it. Every bottle comes with a lifetime limited warranty on manufacturing defects when you register it, and our support team replies within 24 hours.
We're two people. What then?
Run the calculator once per person. Each extra glass makes the bottle's cost per glass lower, and the 10 oz 2-Pack costs less than two single bottles.
